Tropic Thunder

Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jnr and Jack Black will star in Tropic Thunder, which will be launched on the 19/9/2008.

This is an action comedy about a group of self-absorbed actors that take to the jungle to make the biggest and most expensive war film, ever!

After costs spiral out of control causing the studio to cancel the director then refuses to stop shooting and carry on with the film.

He then leads the cast 'unknowingly' into the jungle of South East Asia, where, (yes you guessed it) they then meet the real bad guys.

This just seems to me to be a very expensive version of "The Three Amigo's".

But all the same I am a fan of Ben Stiller, so it may be one you can get away taking the mrs to go see -

Take a look at the trailor

Ridley Scott's new Sci Fi movie

Ridley Scott has announced that he is making a return to his Sci Fi films, but has not stated what it is likely to be. Rumours are flying around and whispers are its Brave New World. The film is likely to start to be written in the next month

Scott is currently in England working on his film Nottingham, which is a Robin Hood film.
Whilst I really enjoyed the film Robin Hood, i'm sure his adaptation will be one to be enjoyed for different reasons.

The next Sci Fi film he does is likely to be started on the conclusion of his current film. I for one, an admirer of his and his brothers films, am looking forward to finding out what it is.

Incredible Hulk

On the 13th June Universal pictures gives us the return of the Incredible Hulk.
Starring Ed Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, Tim Blake Nelson, Ty Burrell and William Hurt.

The plot has Bruce Banner (Ed Norton) desperately seeking a cure to the gamma radiation that infected his cells and causes the almighty rage within him.

Cut off from his former life and the woman he loves Betty Ross (Liv Tyler), The chase is on from General Thunderbolt (william hurt)with the force of the millitary hunting him down in order to exploit his enourmous power.

MTV have released a short clip of the film, availble here

Make sure if you are outside the US you click the "Watch this in HD tab" in order to see the clip.

Having watched the short piece of footage, the hulks face looks far too cartoon and doesn't match with the feature film.

I don't know how this film will go down but I can see it being forgotten as quickly as it comes round - we'll see!

Indie Poll

I have now created a poll to get your feedback on what you think of the new Indiana Jones film. I have had a mixed reponse from people that I have spoken to so far so let me know what you think. I will look to post results in a month

Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull

Well it's finally here. Not to be confused with He-man and the castle of greyskull, the fourth installment of Indie is upon us and I for one am extremely looking forward to it.

A big fan of the first 3 films, Raiders of the lost Ark - 1981, Temple of Doom - 1984 and the Last Crusade - 1989, I only hope that Indie isn't too old now for the film.
Harrison Ford will be celebrating his 66th birthday on the 13th July.

The trailor for the film looks great. Lucas & Spielberg have really beefed up the action by the looks of it, with some very dramatic and action packed scenes.

I personally can't wait to go see the film and would be keen to hear what you all think of it.

Lets just hope it's not another ageing actor trying to convince us that they are younger than they really are!

Welcome

Now I may not win an award for this site but it's all about having fun.
So welcome to my new movie blog called Film Burst - why am I doing a film Blog?
That's simple, I love movies.

From a young age I remember vividly being taken along by my parents with my brothers and sister to the cinema to watch E.T.

Back in 1982, and I remember it well enough, even though I was a relative youngster, how scared I got at this funny little alien thing.

How times have changed with my movie tastes - I still love the fun family film, but my tastes range across comedy, action, thriller and horror.

To be honest I don't have specific genre that I watch, I just enjoy a good film.

Hopefully in this blog you'll get to share with me the good, the bad and the ugly of films - (sorry about that one!!!!)

This blog is dedicated to all things film related i.e reviews, news, gossip, actors and so on.
In fact I don't know which direction this blog will take, but what I do know is that it's going to be a whole lot of fun.

So please feel free to use and add to Film Burst and any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you enjoy - thank you
